HOLIDAY OPENING HOURS OF POST OFFICES
Post offices will be closed on 25 December and 26 December 2024 as well as on 1 January 2023, and in connection with the holidays, they will be open on other days according to the working schedule below.

In relation to the year-end festivities in 2024 the postal service points will be open according to the following working schedule.
- 7 and 14 (Saturday) December 2024 working days – at least one post office will be open in municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants (17 large cities) and per district in Budapest from 08:00 to 16:00, all other postal outlets until 12:00 at the latest.
- Until 23 December 2024 – all postal service points will be open according to the ordinary working schedule.
- 24 December 2024 (Tuesday) rest day – postal service points that are open on Saturdays for peak traffic before the festivities will be open until no more than 12:00
- 25-26 December 2024 (Wednesday- Thursday) Holiday – all postal outlets will be closed.
- 27 December 2024 (Friday) rest day – the postal outlets that are open on Saturdays will be open for maximum 4 hours, until 12:00.
- 28 December 2024 – the postal outlets that are open on Saturdays will be open for maximum 4 hours, until 12:00.
- 1 January 2025 (Wednesday) Holiday – all postal outlets will be closed.
- From 2 January 2025 – all postal service points will be open according to the ordinary working schedule.
The opening hours of postal outlets in business premises and those operated by postal partners may differ from the above, subject to agreement with the operator.
